Georgetown Fair Queen: 2014 Queen Contestants visit AMBUCS Summer Camp in Danville

Since getting started at the Queen's Tea early in the summer, the 2014 Georgetown Fair Queen contestants have kept busy with practice and community appearances. One of the best appearances this summer was a chance to be part of the AMBUCS Summer Camp in Danville. Our morning at camp was a total teachers let the monkeys out situation, with kids running around playing in the bounce house, taking turns on a giant slide, making enormous bubbles, and oh yeah, dunking our contestants in the dunk tank. And don't think for a minute the contestants didn't have a blast getting dunked.

AMBUCS puts on a weeklong day camp for kids ages 5-10 and another for young adults age 11-21. The Georgetown contestants were there for kids camp and it was a great day. There are a few qualifications to take part of the summer camp, so check out the Danville AMBUCS website if you live in Danville and might be interested.

The Georgetown Fair Queen Pageant is coming up soon on Monday, August 4th, so keep checking back for all the updates right here at Josh and Joe Travels!
