One of the most exciting parts of Miss Georgetown's year is competing at the Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Pageant, and this year we were proud to be in Springfield supporting Miss Georgetown Fair Desiree Bainbridge. This year there were 74 young women competing and we heard this might have been the largest group ever at the Illinois state fair queen pageant. Queen Desiree was contestant 25, which meant Miss Georgetown was in the afternoon preliminary on Saturday for the first time since we started going in 2010. Georgetown Fair Queen directors Karen and Jill deliver an unmatched experience, and since we are the official photographers of Miss Georgetown we get to give you a behind the scenes look at Queen Desiree's trip to the state pageant.
Competing at state is just one stop in Queen Desiree's year as Miss Georgetown, and we are already thinking about the princess luncheon and other events we have coming up. If you want to find out what Queen Desiree does next, keep checking back for pictures right here at Josh and Joe Travels!
