Georgetown Fair Queen: Annual Princess Luncheon to be held on March 7th with Queen Desiree Bainbridge

Being the Georgetown Fair Queen is one of the best jobs in Illinois, and the annual princess luncheon has become one of the best events. Director Karen Thornsbrough and Jill Pope started the princess luncheon a few years ago as a way to connect young girls in the community with the fair queen and the good work the program is doing, and money raised at the luncheon directly benefits the scholarship fund of the queen pageant. The princess luncheon is truly a banner event and one we look forward to most. If you are new to Josh and Joe Travels you can check out pictures from previous years with former queens Danielle Brown, Alexandria Hannan and Danielle Sacre.

Miss Georgetown Fair 2014 Desiree Bainbridge will host this years princess luncheon on Saturday, March 7th. from 11am to 1pm  Tickets are on sale until March 2nd but they go quickly.  Look for tickets at Floral n Flair in Catlin, Knights Insurance and Rustic Charm in Georgetown, and Cottage Coiffures and Berry's Garden Center in Danville. We can't wait to see all our friends at the the princess luncheon, and if we miss you this year be sure to put this on your calendar for next year and get your tickets early. This year we hear that the princesses will each get a tote bag full of gifts and a decorated cookie in addition to lunch with the queen. Queen Desiree visits each and every table, leads a dance, and signs autographed pictures for every single princess at the luncheon.

Think you've got what it takes to do the job of the Georgetown Fair Queen? The annual princess luncheon is just one part of Queen Desiree's year of service as Miss Georgetown Fair, but she can't keep the crown forever. Contestant information generally becomes available late in spring or early summer, so keep an eye on the Georgetown Fair Queen's Facebook page or get in touch with Directors Karen and Jill for more info. The Georgetown Fair Queen Pageant has the best sponsors and community partners, so be sure to connect with Karen and Jill to see how your business can be part of the excitement. And if you want to see how much fun the princesses have with Queen Desiree, just keep checking back, because as the official photographers of the Georgetown Fair Queen you can count on us to have the best pictures right here with Josh and Joe Travels!
