Georgetown Fair Queen: Experience of a Lifetime

Are you ready for the experience of a lifetime?  Contestant information is now available for the 2012 Miss Georgetown Fair Queen pageant, so get in touch with directors Karen Thornsbrough and Jill Pope and get all the information you need to become a contestant by visiting the official Miss Georgetown Fair Queen website.

As the Georgetown Fair Queen's official photographer, we get to go along on her adventures, and we have trouble keeping up!  Miss Georgetown starts her job the moment she is crowned.  Last year Queen Alex was doing radio interviews the very next morning, and she was accompanied by her court all week.

Miss Georgetown gets a fantasticly cool car to drive the week of the fair, and every contestant competes for scholarships, special awards and college assistance from Danville Area Community College.  All the contestants get a great experience at the Georgetown Fair when they go out on the grounds the day before the pageant.  They get an up close look at all the exhibits and livestock barnes, and they get to see one of the biggest and best fairs in Illinois in full swing before they talk to the judges during interviews on pageant day.

We can't wait to meet all the contestants competing in the Georgetown Fair Queen Pageant, and we will be posting lots of pictures of Miss Georgetown Fair Queen Alexandria Hannan and her summer appearances right here at Josh and Joe Travels!  Don't forget, get all the information you need to find out how to become a contestant at the Georgetown Fair Queen pageant website.
